About the Author

Dr. John Martin attended Howard University, Washington, D.C., Southeast Missouri State University, Missouri, USA, the City University of New York and the University of the West Indies. He is the holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Business Management; a Master of Science Degree in Economics and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (P hD) in Economics. He also holds qualifications in four other disciplines. He has worked in the Eastern Caribbean as well as in North America plus at three financial institutions and is currently employed at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

Academically, he worked at City University of New York, Howard University, Washington, DC, Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, St. Lucia, and at the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business of the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago as an MBA Lecturer. He also wrote articles in finance and business journals and is the author of three Economics textbooks, a Principles of Business textbook and a textbook on Quantitative Business Methods for the MBA level.
